When a student is described as an ‘all round great student’, you know to expect great things from them.
Tyrone Candappa is no exception. He completed his Certificate III in Carpentry (Apprenticeship) with TAFE Gippsland in December 2019. He was always punctual polite to everyone around him, completed his work on time to the highest standard and was willing to show his skills to others around him.
This has flowed through to his workplace where he is well respected and his employer speaks very highly of him. His communication skills, both at TAFE and in the workplace, are also highly regarded and this is shown through his leadership and willingness to strive for the best with new opportunities.
Tyrone is a member of Master Builders and was awarded a Certificate of Merit for Best in Year – Carpentry/Joinery for 4th Year Apprentice at the 2020 Master Builder’s Gippsland Awards in February.
Tyrone’s rapport, great work ethic and quality workmanship have made him a very worthy recipient of the Apprentice of the Year Award 2020 for Building and Construction. We look forward to seeing the great things that Tyrone Candappa will do in his career.
