So, you’re booked in for an interview? Here’s what to expect.
Attending an interview can be both a) nerve-wracking and b) exciting.
The interview is not there to trip you up, but simply to find out why you’re applying for the course and to make sure it’s suitable to you and what you’re hoping to achieve.
It will help the teacher understand your career goals and aspirations and ensure the particular course is the right fit for your future aspirations.
The teacher will ask simple questions about yourself, the industry and what you hope to get out of the course.
Here’s our top tips to calming your nerves:
Arrive early - plan your journey and know where you’re going.
Be enthusiastic – show the teacher that you’re eager and interested in the course and all that comes with studying.
Be comfortable – wear something that you’re comfortable in. Strike a balance between formal and casual.
Be yourself – it’s important that the interviewer sees that the course is a good fit for you and being yourself will help.
Again, take this in your stride and don’t let an interview deter you from continuing with your enrolment.
You’ve got this!
