Six events down and six skilled TAFE Gippsland students have made it through to the 2023 WorldSkills Australia National Championships!
Congratulations to the following students who have all been successful so far in the regional rounds of the WorldSkills Australia competition:
- Riley Holt (Pictured, Certificate III in Engineering) - Construction Steelwork category
- Rob McNeilly (Pictured, Certificate III in Engineering) – Fitting category
- Sebastian Battista (Certificate III in Plumbing) – Plumbing & Heating category
- Ruby Jones (Diploma of Nursing) – Healthcare category
- Shane Felmingham (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery) – Cookery category
- Kadek Ardiana (VETiS Hairdressing) - Hair and Beauty category
The regional competitions have been held across various TAFE Gippsland campuses over the couple of months, with local industry professionals teaming up with our own training staff to adjudicate the events.
Judges praised all regional participants for the sound knowledge and expertise they displayed throughout the competition.
The successful students will go on to represent Gippsland, showcasing their talents at the WorldSkills Australia National Championship in August 2023.
