Last week we celebrated the winners of the WorldSkills regional competition, with a medal presentation at our Morwell campus.

WorldSkills Regional winners 2024

It was a great night of networking between the apprentices, their employers, their family, industry supporters and our TAFE Gippsland staff.

From 28 competitors, we ended up with nine gold medallists, eight silver and four bronze. What a massive effort! It’s important to note that these results have been scaled by WorldSkills.

This group of students couldn’t have achieved these results without the commitment of their employers. So, a big thank you goes out to the behind-the-scenes employer achievers from White Rhino Electrical, Rohan Kaldvee Electrician, Burra Electrical Services, Marathon Electrical, AGL Loy Yang, SamBuilt Projects, RAL Constructions, Kennedy Trailers, EnergyAustralia, Trade Weld, R&M Engineering, Superior Energy, WPC Group,  McCarthy Plumbing,  Chila Plumbing, Leicester Plumbing and Gasfitting, BJ’s Plumbing and Home Maintenance, Tequa,  JT Plumbing, Opal, Marcus Engineering, Purcell Painting, Vivid Coats, Buckland Painting and Decorating and Charrouf Painting Services. Their dedication to supporting region’s apprentice tradies and training partnership with TAFE Gippsland is helping build careers for the future.
