A happy crew of Metricon employees have been celebrated at a special graduation ceremony at their headquarters in Mount Waverley, after recently completing their Certificate IV in Building and Construction through TAFE Gippsland.

Metricon graduates throwing hats in the air

Metricon’s leadership team, including CEO Brad Duggan, honoured their newly graduated staff members at a ceremony last week, where they received certificates to acknowledge their success in the course let by our building and construction teacher Luke Copland.

Luke attended the ceremony along with TAFE Gippsland Business Partner Stuart Quigley, who said it’s testament to the strong relationship TAFE Gippsland has built with Metricon over the past few years.

“The success of this relationship has been built on the quality training provided by TAFE Gippsland and the dedication and professionalism of our teacher Luke Copland, who delivered the workplace training one day a month over two years in Mount Waverley,” Stuart said.

“We started initially training just their Gippsland staff in the Certificate IV Building and Construction. The success of that delivery led to the latest group of students who are based at the Metricon head office in Mt Waverley and across their other metropolitan sites.

“We see this as a long-standing relationship and are excited about the prospect of further cohorts in the future.”
