RTO Registration
As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), TAFE Gippsland complies with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015 (the Standards). The Standards ensure consistent, high-quality training and assessment services for clients within the vocational education and training system.
Only RTOs are authorised to deliver and assess nationally recognised vocational training and issue nationally recognised vocational qualifications. RTO registration focuses heavily on the providers’ teaching and learning outcomes, customer satisfaction, capacity to self-assure and continuous improvement. By building these aspects into the TAFE Gippsland quality assurance system we have created a strong and sustainable business to meet the needs of clients and stakeholders.
In 2022 TAFE Gippsland successfully applied to be re-registered as an RTO. The Institute had its registration renewed for a 7 year term, with an expiry date of 30 June 2029. The final audit report from the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) can be found here.
Maintaining registration provides clients and stakeholders with additional confidence that TAFE Gippsland will continue to deliver consistent, high quality products and services.
TAFE Gippsland Quality Indicators
The attached indicators are based on a survey of 1035 students and 17 employers. This sample represents 10% of this organisation’s training delivery in the 2019 calendar year. The students and employers surveyed for these indicators were selected by this organisation in accordance with national guidelines. The registering body report can be foundhere.
Non-School Senior Secondary Program
TAFE Gippsland’s non-school senior secondary program and teaching are delivered in a manner that supports and promotes the principles and practice of Australian democracy. These principles include a commitment to elected government, the rule of law, equal rights for all before the law, freedom of religion, freedom of speech and association, and the values of openness and tolerance.
A requirement of the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority Guideline for Non-School Senior Secondary Education Providers is that TAFE Gippsland monitors and analyses results for VCE students. An analysis of the results for the previous year, including participation rates, completion rates and student outcomes and access to further education and work after leaving the VCE programs is listed below:
