About this course
Designed for those already working on a farm in some capacity, our Certificate IV in Agriculture will help you develop post-trade skills and become specialists in your field.
Learn on the job and apply your skills and knowledge in the workplace, attending and participating in industry events, field days, technical updates and discussion groups.
Get the credentials to work in the powerhouse that is Gippsland’s agricultural industry.
In this course, you’ll take responsibility for your own work and for the quality of work of others and learn how to provide and communicate solutions to a range of sometimes unpredictable problems.

This qualification provides and occupational outcome at a supervisory level. Job roles vary across different industry sectors and include:

• Farm supervisor.

AHC41019 certificate IV in Agribusiness.
Skills or Knowledge gained
This qualification will teach participants skills and knowledge in the specialist fields of Work Health and Safety, people management, supervision of animal health programs, development and supervision of livestock feeding plans as well as soil and pasture nutrition and improvement.
Entry Requirements
Are there specified requirements for entry into the course/qualification?: No
Mandatory entry requirements:
Learners must be currently working (employed) on a commercial agricultural farm on a Casual, Part time or Full time basis, in order to support their assessment completion.
Recommended entry Requirements:
Past experience on farms or related businesses and / or training in Agriculture or Agribusiness would be an advantage but not essential.
Applicants are required to participate in a pre-training interview to determine if the AHC40122 Certificate IV in Agriculture will meet their needs
Limitations to course Entry:
Students must have access to a reliable internet connection.
Students must have access to a computer or tablet that will support course work to be completed in our Learning Management System Moodle. We recommend that this also includes a headset (integrated microphone and earphones).
Students working within the agricultural industry must be physically fit, this includes the ability to bend and lift. Students must be able to spend considerable time on their feet throughout their working day.
